Made in the 1960s, this vintage teapot has charming peacock decorations. This is a full size teapot; not petite or a miniature. It is a vintage design that is very uncommon to find.
The glaze is a warm honey color and the peacock design is repeated both front and back as well as a peacock on the lid. The teapot is also adorned with ribbed and beaded textures and the handle is woven rattan over black enameled metal. Stamped Made in Japan on the bottom.
A nice large size, the teapot is 7 1/2 tall with the handle x 7 wide with the spout. The teapot appears to have rarely if ever been used as it is pristine clean inside and out with no imperfections or flaws like cracks, chips, missing glaze, or repairs. There is light crazing in some areas commensurate with age. On the inside rim of the teapot has 2 very tiny hairline cracks in the glaze only.
