ESN recalls one batch of ESN Designer Protein Bar Dark Chocolate Salted Almond

Elmshorn, 13 October 2026. ESN is recalling batch L3226505-11 of ESN Designer Protein Bar Dark Chocolate Salted Almond. The batch bearing the batch identification stated below is affected.

Affected product

Only products bearing the following labeling are affected:

• ESN Designer Protein Bar Dark Chocolate Salted Almond, 45g
  Batch: L3226505-11, Best before: 13 April 2027, produced between 12:15 and 15:15

Customers can find this information on the back of the packaging, in the lower area of the label (see photo).

Reason for the recall

A hard, transparent plastic foreign object, about the size of the almond pieces contained in the bars, was found in individual bars of this batch. Based on current knowledge, an introduction within the production chain is unlikely; an introduction along the supply chain cannot be ruled out. As a precaution, potentially affected stock has already been blocked and our customers have been informed of a take-back.

Because affected bars cannot be reliably narrowed down within the batch, the batch is being recalled for the stated period in order to protect our customers. According to current knowledge, all other batches of this product as well as all other ESN products are not affected.

Notice on possible risks

A risk of injury – however unlikely – for example from swallowing the foreign object, cannot be ruled out if affected bars are consumed. To date, we are not aware of any injuries.

What consumers should do

Please do not consume or pass on affected bars. The purchase price will be refunded; returns and refunds are handled through our customer service.
