The Quality Group strengthens its Elmshorn site – May & Co. develops new 23,000 m² warehouse and production facility
Hamburg, July 7, 2026 – The Quality Group, one of the leading companies in sports nutrition and dietary supplements and home to brands including ESN and MORE, is continuing its growth trajectory in Elmshorn. In close proximity to its existing headquarters at Werner-von-Siemens-Straße 8, May & Co. is currently developing a new warehouse and production facility offering 23,000 m² of leasable space. Following its completion in early 2027, The Quality Group will occupy the building as its long-term tenant.

For The Quality Group, the expansion is part of its long-term site development strategy in Elmshorn. The company focuses on in-house product development and the highest quality standards. The close proximity of its facilities will help further streamline operations, strengthen quality assurance, and expand production and warehouse capacities for the ESN and MORE brands. At the same time, the investment represents a clear commitment to the region: as a significant and growing employer, The Quality Group continues to recruit employees for its Elmshorn location.
Due to the size and complexity of the project, the approval process was equally demanding. Marius Munk, Head of Urban Development, comments: „It is all the more encouraging that the necessary approvals could be granted swiftly thanks to the close and constructive cooperation of everyone involved.“
The successful realization of the project was driven by the close collaboration between the City of Elmshorn, The Quality Group, and May & Co. May & Co. acquired the site and is developing a modern facility for warehouse and production use, which The Quality Group will occupy under a long-term lease upon completion. „We were able to secure a strong, growth-oriented partner in The Quality Group at an early stage,” says Jan Erik Empen, Project Manager at May & Co. Development GmbH. „As a Northern German company, we are particularly pleased to realize a project at this location and contribute to Elmshorn’s continued economic development. The close cooperation between the company, the municipality, and the project developer demonstrates that the right conditions for further growth can be created within a short period of time.”
