Five million bars in three months: NUTRACORP expands production in Schleswig-Holstein

Following the conversion of a warehouse, Nützen now has two new production lines, around 100 jobs and additional capacity for ESN and More Nutrition.

Nützen, 27 October 2026. Three months after production began, NUTRACORP GmbH, the manufacturing company of The Quality Group (TQG), has produced its five millionth protein bar at its new site in Nützen. The former warehouse was converted into a bar factory within eight months; two lines there now produce bars for ESN and More Nutrition. Around 100 employees currently work in production and logistics at the site.

Products made in Nützen include ESN Designer Bars and More Nutrition Satisbites. With the new site, NUTRACORP complements its existing bar production in Elmshorn and continues to expand its in-house production capacity for both brands.

Eight months from empty warehouse to first bar

In Nützen, NUTRACORP converted a former warehouse into a production facility – including lines, technical infrastructure and quality assurance.

“In December 2025, this was still an empty warehouse. Today two lines are running – and even so, our capacity is still far from enough to meet demand. Nützen shows what our team can achieve in a short time. That is exactly the pace we now need in Elmshorn as well,” says Philipp Pohlmann, Vice President Production at The Quality Group.

Investing in the region: jobs and capacity in Northern Germany

With the Nützen site and the planned warehouse and production facility in Elmshorn, TQG is further expanding its production and logistics infrastructure in Northern Germany. Around 100 people work in production and logistics in Nützen alone. The network continues to grow: in Elmshorn, where around 600 people are employed, a new warehouse and production facility with 23,000 square metres of leased space is being built and is scheduled for occupancy in early 2027. A logistics site in Kaltenkirchen secures the supply of raw materials for production and creates around 30 additional jobs. The network is complemented by the Elsdorf logistics site in Lower Saxony.

The driver is strong demand: in the first half of 2026, TQG grew its revenue organically by more than 40 percent to EUR 850 million.
